THE INDIGO RANCH STORY
In 2007, Indigo Rescue, a non-profit animal rescue group based in Washington County, purchased an idyllic 16 acre property to Vernonia, Oregon to establish Indigo Ranch, a homestyle, country boarding facility for dogs. All proceeds from Indigo Ranch go directly to support the lifesaving work of Indigo Rescue.
Indigo Rescue is an all volunteer animal rescue organization that creates and maintains programs to save homeless and abandoned dogs and cats. Indigo Rescue establishes relationships with public animal shelters, intervening when animals run out of time in those facilities. We take the animals and rehabilitate them in foster homes before placing them in permanent, loving homes.
Indigo Rescue is dedicated to finding the perfect forever home for each dog and cat. We make prospective adopters fully aware of the impact an animal will make on their lives. We take the time, effort and care to make a love-match, insuring a lifetime commitment.
In addition, Indigo Rescue offers consultations, resources and support to individuals in the community who share our dedication to helping abandoned and homeless dogs and cats find permanent, loving homes.
Reducing shelter intake is the key to saving lives. To help accomplish this, Indigo Rescue not only runs effective programs to discourage the surrender of companion animals to shelters, but also develops and administers convenient and affordable spay/neuter programs designed to reduce dog and cat populations.
Indigo Rescue is proud to offer the services of Indigo Ranch homestyle dog boarding as the alternative to the conventional dog boarding operation.
We LOVE dogs and are committed to making your dog’s experience with us one of comfort, security and fun!
